Katie Noelle Holmes, the youngest of five children, was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Katie started acting in high school plays. She first caught the attention of her future managers at a modeling convention. These managers brought her to Los Angeles for the six-week pilot season, which is when the networks hold auditions for future television shows.
